Hey my name is Brenton Miles. What an honor and privilege it is to be a part of such an amazing station like The Point. Just to give you a little run-down of who I am and where I've come from:
I was born and raised in Springfield, MO, grew up in an amazing Christian family, and have been involved in the local Church, radio, and music for most of my life. Thru high school, I worked at a local radio station (99.5 KADI-FM) as the afternoon dj, production director, and producer. After high school, I traveled as the drummer for the Terry Kelley Band. After a couple of years on the road, I got hired as the Assistant Worship Pastor of James River Assembly in Ozark, MO. I was full-time on staff there for 3.5 years. While on staff, I got married to my lovely bride Shelby, the most amazing person in the world! :)
In 2010, I felt God impressing on my heart to leave my position at the church to start a new traveling ministry as a singer/songwriter/worship leader. I had written a lot of songs, and recorded demos. After a series of many different doors opening, I left the church and started what has been an amazing year and a half of living by faith and pursuing God's direction for our lives. I'm so excited about what's to come!
So now, I'm here. Traveling full time as a worshiper and musician, and also getting to play radio every day. I love leading people into worship on and off the platform, and I've always loved radio and the impact that it can have on people. Whether it's the music, dj, or even at times, commercials, it's amazing to see how God can orchestrate people to listen to a certain station at a certain time, and totally and radically change their lives by using radio frequencies. :) I love that. I'm also the host of The Sunday Morning Drive radio program on Sunday mornings.
I'm so blessed to be a part of your mornings, and I can't wait to get to know you on this new journey.
