 97.9 The Point is non-profit radio station, supported by our listeners and the community. Much of our support comes from people like you who generously donate one time or monthly gifts. A gift to 97.9 The Point helps to ensure that we are able to continue providing a relevant, positive life-saving message. Currently 97.9 The Point has nearly 9 months of funding, but we need you help to ensure funding is available for the point to stay on the air for the remaining months.

A MESSAGE THAT IS EVERYWHERE
97.9 The Point broadcasts 24-hours at day, 7-days a week to the five state area and to the world online at 979thepoint.com.  Because our signal is available to anyone with a radio or internet access, our ministry is able to travel into places where many ministries cannot.  It’s on the car radio of a lonely, confused teenager.  It’s helping a man who’s just learned he’s lost his job. It’s in hospital rooms, homes, businesses, churches, streets, and for all places and people at all points in between.  People who would never come close to any Christian event are coming to a better understanding of God thanks to the music and personalities on 97.9 The Point.

MORE THAN JUST A RADIO STATION
97.9 The Point is more than just a radio station that plays positive music.  All year long, we use our signal and voice in the community to serve people in our region and around the world.
 
Mission of Mercy
97.9 The Point is affiliated with Mission of Mercy, a world-wide organization that seeks to rescue children with God’s love.  They provide meals, education, care, and the knowledge of God’s love for children in some of the worst proverty-stricken areas around the world.  Each year, nearly 100 children are sponsored during our 28 Hours of Mercy events.  We’ve also been able to send our listeners on week-long missions in Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic.  With your help, 97.9 The Point has reached beyond our region and is changing the world.
 

Coats for Homeless and Work-Wear for Wyoming
Each year, 97.9 The Point collects coats to give to people in our region who are homeless, or do not have an adequate coat to stay warm during the winter months.  Last year, several hundred new and lightly used coats were delivered to those in need right here in the Black Hills.
 

Valentines for the Lonely
For Valentines Day this past year, 97.9 The Point was able to team up with schools and individuals in the area to deliver over 3,000 hand-made valentine cards to elderly people at assisted living centers and nursing homes in the greater Black Hills.
 

Oil Changes For Widows and Single Mothers
For several years now, 97.9 the Point and area auto service businesses have given dozens of free oil changes to widows and single mothers just in time for Mother’s Day.
